The KP3S is a lovely upgrade to the original, and I ordered the glass plate version. There’s no way to attach the glass without binder clips, but the KP3S more easily accepts an oversized steel plate than the original. I bought the direct extruder to print TPU, and the stock build mat seems to bind with the urethane material so I swapped it out. Three sizes of nozzle came with my unit; 3x 0.4mm (one was installed), 1x 0.6mm, and 1x 0.8mm. I have no comment on the software because I don’t use it, but the machine seems solid as a successor to the KP3. p.s. I’ve found TPU has a minimum printing speed, ~5mm/s.

The printer received a perfect condition except for a small site where the paint was slightly broken off, because of transportation this could not happen. Spent an hour two to figure out what’s what, set everything up through Cura since it’s more used to me, checked the print with the nozzle 0.4mm, and I liked the quality the I ordered a version with an improved Tower, and with a glass coating that I have not yet had time to try. The printer assembly is very good, there are no hints of cheap from the visual part, everything is strict and neat, and most importantly compact. For me, it’s also a huge plus that this printer is quite quiet, and you can print even at night 🙂 I recommend this printer.

The KP3S is a lovely upgrade to the original, and I ordered the glass plate version. There’s no way to attach the glass without binder clips, but the KP3S more easily accepts an oversized steel plate than the original. I bought the direct extruder to print TPU, and the stock build mat seems to bind with the urethane material so I swapped it out. Three sizes of nozzle came with my unit; 3x 0.4mm (one was installed), 1x 0.6mm, and 1x 0.8mm. I have no comment on the software because I don’t use it, but the machine seems solid as a successor to the KP3. p.s. I’ve found TPU has a minimum printing speed, ~5mm/s.

The printer received a perfect condition except for a small site where the paint was slightly broken off, because of transportation this could not happen. Spent an hour two to figure out what’s what, set everything up through Cura since it’s more used to me, checked the print with the nozzle 0.4mm, and I liked the quality the I ordered a version with an improved Tower, and with a glass coating that I have not yet had time to try. The printer assembly is very good, there are no hints of cheap from the visual part, everything is strict and neat, and most importantly compact. For me, it’s also a huge plus that this printer is quite quiet, and you can print even at night 🙂 I recommend this printer.
